Sedona!!!!

Just a quick note to let everyone know I am traveling again!

Yesterday was a trying day of air travel. Planes returning to the gate from the runway for sick passengers, late arrivals with barely caught connections, luggage left in connecting city, early arrival without a gate so we sat on the tarmac for 45 minutes effectively making us a late arrival…. After an extremely early morning start (2am) I didn’t get a chance to eat anything (except the package of mixed nuts I had in my bag) until 2 in the afternoon – after the time change of 3 hours – so it was more like 5pm. By bedtime, I was ready to sleep!

The best part of my day was arriving in Sedona and catching up with a dear friend from High School. I couldn’t believe it had been 25 years since we had last seen each other face to face. But when we met and hugged (he gives the best hugs), it was if it were yesterday. That is what makes up the best friendships.

The rest of the group all made it to the hotel and settled in last evening. I am looking forward to our hiking adventures to begin today!!
